Hi, I am Farina,

designer of immersive interactions.

After my bachelor’s degree in communication design with focus on interaction design (UI + UX) at the Braunschweig University of Art, I am currently studying Digital Media (MA) at the University of the Arts in Bremen. I’m really enthusiastic about immersive media like virtual and augmented reality (and 360° videos). I started with hackathons, VR workshops and my first VR project Ana Kalypto which I realized with a classmate. Since then I’m fascinated by the incredible possibilities but also the responsibilities of a complete new medium.

I love realizing projects in a short time, that’s why you can find me at events such as workshops, hackathons, game jams and residencies regularly. Additionally, I enjoy to get people excited about immersive media and am therefore active as speaker, mentor and tutor. Furthermore, I administrate the website meetXR.de, a calender with XR events in Germany, and founded the XR meetup BREMERSIV.

Addionally, I’m very interested in speculative and critical design. We live in a time of constant changes and developments with far-reaching consequences. I believe that art and design are able to call attention on those changes and developments, can be thought-provoking, and motivate to participation. Therefore I developed a fictional service as my bachelor project which seemingly imitates the user and takes over their activities on social networks with the help of artificial intelligence.

You can find all the things I do on this website in my portfolio and on the page activities and up to date on my Twitter account.
