Virtual Reality App<\/h3>\n

We deve\u00adlo\u00adped the virtual reality expe\u00adri\u00adence ToDone<\/em> during a two-week summer academy of Hamburg Krea\u00adtiv Gesell\u00adschaft and the Career Center of Hamburg Univer\u00adsity on the subject Learning with virtual reality (VR<\/span>) in the fields of healt\u00adhwise preven\u00adtion and stress manage\u00adment<\/em>. During finding the idea with the help of inter\u00adviews and design thin\u00adking methods we noti\u00adced that stress often results from insuf\u00adfi\u00adci\u00adent self orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion and time manage\u00adment.<\/p>\n

The appli\u00adca\u00adtion ToDone is a combi\u00adna\u00adtion of a mobile app and an appli\u00adca\u00adtion for virtual reality head\u00adsets like HTC<\/span> Vive or Oculus Rift. With the app you can create the tasks you need to accom\u00adplish. Ther\u00adeby you can chose a title, notes, the task\u2019s cate\u00adgory and esti\u00adma\u00adted time. These tasks can be presor\u00adted, edited and marked as done. Addi\u00adtio\u00adnally the app offers a concen\u00adtra\u00adtion mode which locks the phone will for the prede\u00adter\u00admi\u00adned time.<\/p>\n

In virtual reality the tasks can be sorted on time shel\u00adves<\/em>. Hereby we refer to the method of mind pala\u00adces and the assump\u00adtion that spatial arran\u00adged items can better be remem\u00adbe\u00adred. The user has a spatial over\u00adview when they want to do what and can easier recall this over\u00adview later than with using a simple list. Addi\u00adtio\u00adnally there are semi-trans\u00adpa\u00adrent buffer cubes<\/em> laying on the shel\u00adves which can\u2019t be remo\u00adved. These buffer cubes prevent the user from plan\u00adning too much for one day and force him to include empty spaces.<\/p>\n

Tasks which are marked as done in the app appear on an extra podium in virtual reality. They turn trans\u00adpa\u00adrent and can be broken. Inside there is a surprise for the user. These can be deco\u00adra\u00adti\u00adons for the virtual world or modu\u00adles which allow to build bigger objects. Ther\u00adeby we animate the user to accom\u00adplish more tasks to complete these objects. This reward system is an essen\u00adtial part of the appli\u00adca\u00adtion. Addi\u00adtio\u00adnally there\u2019s an assi\u00adstant in VR<\/span> and the app who supports the user with tips and hints and helps to be more produc\u00adtive and concen\u00adtra\u00adted.<\/p>\n

We reali\u00adzed a working proto\u00adtype for HTC<\/span> Vive and a click\u00addummy of the mobile app.<\/p>\n
